The story
For three generations the ikat looms of Pochampally have passed from parent to child at the loom-pit. That chain is thinning: the young leave for the city before they learn to tie a single warp. This campaign funds a two-year apprenticeship for eight young weavers — a monthly stipend, master-weaver mentorship, and the yarn and dye they need to fail and try again. Nothing here is charity. It is the cost of keeping a technique alive one more generation.

Halfway, and finding our rhythm
The mid-point review is in. Attendance has held strong, the first pieces are finished, and the community has asked to extend one of the sessions. We have submitted photographs and a short film to the Sanchaari review team so the next tranche can be released against evidence.
