Kumta Eco Crafts

Veena is the founder of Myecokart and a former Zilla Panchayat member. During COVID, a few women approached her seeking financial help. She wanted to do more than just financial assistance for a day — she wanted to create an opportunity for them to become financially independent and build a stable life. When she spoke to them about their skills, she realized they were talented women who could create beautiful crafts but were unable to step out of their homes to pursue their raw materials.

That's when the idea of making traditional Paddy Torans was born. Veena encouraged them to put their skills to work and promised to showcase and sell their creations. What started as a small initiative to support a few women gradually became a meaningful journey of preserving our traditions, empowering women artisans and bringing their beautiful handmade creations into homes across India.
