“Her ambition is to build a permanent house and start a small business of her own.”
Normeshuki's story
Normeshuki beads with the Olkuroto beadwork group. She is a mother of seven: one is married, five are in school, and the youngest is still too young to start.
What she earns from beadwork has paid for school fees, food and a water tank, so her family has clean water to drink. With water at home she no longer spends hours fetching it — which gives her more time to bead.
